After the successful completion of 4 corporate local tournaments in 2012 followed by 2 tournaments in 2011, Stuttgart Cricket Eagles e.V. is now pushing the concept of corporate cricket to the next level. In 2013, the planned corporate league invites 8 corporate teams not only from Stuttgart area, but also from all corners of Germany. With the growing number of IT experts and engineers from India and south Asia is creating a great opportunity for cricket being spread in the high tech German companies. In the tournaments organized in 2011 and 2012, lot of companies like Bosch, Mercedes-Benz, Siemens, Prion from Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Ulm, Nürnberg took part in this soft ball game concept. With many of the expats having less time to practice with leather balls or less opportunity to find proper ground for cricket ball are reasons behind making the soft ball tournament more and more popular. This year, the fun will increase over 3 months of time.

To make the league attractive for teams from other cities, the games will be scheduled only on weekends. There will be always two games on every weekend, first game scheduled at 1-3pm, second between 3-5pm. This schedule ensures enough time for the away teams to arrive and drive back. Also, depending on the number of participant teams, teams outside Stuttgart will have two games on a single day, reducing their travel to just one weekend per month.

The registration deadline for Eagles Corporate League is  22nd of May. There is a dedicated page on Facebook for the league with many thousands of pictures from the last tournaments. www.facebook.com/Eagles.Corporate.League.2013
